A Unit of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Membership in the Lutheran Church Women is automatic with church membership for all confirmed women of the congregation 18 years of age and older.
We are divided into as many circles as seem advisable according to existing needs of the membership. At the present time we have three circles. Circles meet once a month in the homes or church with the exception of July and August. A portion of the meeting is devoted to Bible study. Each circle takes turns doing altar care during the year, serving at the general meetings or special events and completes projects for Lutheran World Relief. The Women of the church sponsor a Rummage Sale twice a year - in the Spring and in the Fall.
General meetings are held during the year for all of the women to meet and enjoy a special program. We also hold the Sacrificial Breakfast, and Mother/Daughter Banquet. In April and September we hold a rummage sale to provide the monies for our budget.
The Lutheran Church Women provide opportunity for women to share fellowship with one another, participate in Bible study, altar care, sewing quilts and doing projects for Lutheran World Relief.
We are to GROW in faith, AFFIRM our gifts, SUPPORT one another in our callings, ENGAGE in ministry and action, and PROMOTE healing and Wholeness in the church, society and the world.
